Who is
Jesus?

You’re probably wondering, “Why Jesus?”, I ask that you stay with me on this…
Creation
01
“In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone”.1
Revelation
02
The Word is named Jesus, I do not know the interpretation you have of Him now, but for a moment, leave it.
Existence
03
I will touch on existence since we are here, your existence was created through Jesus Christ. Before I met Him, I wondered aimlessly trying to figure out all my questions and every single conclusion left me. Sure, things seemed like they fit, but at the end of every day, it left me.
Question it
04
Don’t we live in a beautiful world? I mean putting tragedy and disaster aside and just focusing on nature, for example, isn’t it impressive? How the flowers bloom. How colors are portrayed, how light bounces. All of it was created through Christ.
His perspective
05
I give you Proverbs 8: 22, “The Lord formed me from the beginning, before He created anything else. I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters. Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I was born…” (NIV)

In order to see Jesus I would like to touch on sin, in a nutshell it separates us from God. I apologize if someone misinterpreted God for you. God is love; I apologize if someone misinterpreted love for you.
What is sin?
While the topic of sin is nuanced and heavy, which I will write a blog post about, ultimately it hurts us. It trades truths for lies, its rich in commerce leading to violence2: “…sin crouches at your door, its desire is for you (to overpower you)”.3 Sin is actually the human nature, no one human except Jesus, is without sin. God’s commands exemplify this, sin used God’s commands to illicit our nature of doing what we are told not to do. Sin reveals its evil purposes because sin does not care that it hurts us. Paul concludes, “sin used what was good to bring about my condemnation to death.”4

What correlation is there with sin and Christ?
Jesus did not come to take out sin from the human nature, He changed its dynamic. Repentance, an acknowledgment of fault that can only be reconciled in God, is the key to have this understanding. Before Jesus died, sin had a power over human will. God, taking the form of the sinful human nature, deposited sin into Himself and died, breaking the power of sin. Remember that sin leads to death, Jesus experienced death, and was raised for this purpose: that those who believe in Him will not be condemned by their sin. Therefore, never dying, and since never dying we should, “consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.”5
My experience
Years ago, I dove deeper into trying to grasp some footing of myself and the world around me leading into sin that hurt me and others. I didn’t believe in sin nor had the truth about death. Sin is an entity purposed to lead you into death. Beginning with your mind, because you can be breathing and not be alive. Your eyes can be awake and still feel dead. That is because whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.6 I am evidence of that. While the world, people around you and yourself have independent conclusions of sin, “you will know the truth and the truth will set you free”.7

Your Calling
A lot of people think God, Jesus, is indifferent to humanity. But as I was taught by Him, He is nothing but the same.8 Jesus knows what it’s like to feel pressure, John 2:2, He knew loneliness, John 16:32, He knows what it was like to be tired, John 4:6, afraid of the future that He trembled so hard His sweat became like great drops of blood; Luke 22:44 (NKJV). And yet He lived in a specific way9, so that every human being could have the opportunity to know Him. Why? Because Jesus is love.10 Again, I apologize that we misinterpreted love for you.
Jesus’s heart split in two from top to bottom just so He could come to you.11 I tell you with all my heart, He longs for you.
I do not know who you are, what you have been through, what pain and joy you carry, but if you’ve ever wondered what can come of or what is your life, “come and see for yourself, Philip replied. As they approached, Jesus said, ‘Now here is a genuine son of Israel- a man of complete integrity.” ‘How do you know about me?’ Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, ‘I could see you under the fig tree before Philip found you.’ Then Nathanael exclaimed, “Rabbi, you are the son of God- the King of Israel!” Jesus asked him, “Do you believe this just because I told you I had seen you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.” Then He said, “I tell you the truth, you will see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth.” John 1: 46 (NLT)
God sees the deep-rooted parts of you that no one else has. Jesus believes in all the hidden, stored up parts of yourself. He calls you genuine. If you are wondering how He can know you, it is because He has always been with you, never a moment where you were alone.12 He sees where you’ve been, where you are, and where you are going.13 He sees you and says, “You are Mine”.14 And one of my favorite verses, “Where there is a willingness of mind, it is accepted not according to what you don’t have but according to what you do have”.15 The willingness that wants to believe because for this moment you can hear Him, that willingness is accepted. You don’t need to do anything but stay.
“For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields.”16
To the people who know God, who may know OF Jesus yet still thirst for something deeper, Christ understands, “whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:14 (NKJV). I’ve found that we have deep-rooted holes that are particularly difficult to fill because we have hidden them away. It took me a year and a half to find the holes causing disaster. It wasn’t until Jesus helped me discover a pattern and I was honest about brokenness, that I saw my holes. The ones only He could fill and continues to do so.17
He already knows
‘Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you have now is not your husband; in that you spoke truly” (NKJV).
We need to be honest with Jesus. Sometimes our truths can be so buried we forget what our truth looks like. This woman was honest because she was serious in wanting the water Jesus offered.
My holes caused me so much instability I could not function in the degree God showed me I could. So, I decided to be honest, letting Jesus see all my ugly, all my broken pieces. Well, what I opinionated as such.
In Spirit and in truth
‘Jesus said to her, “Woman believe Me the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father…and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him” (NKJV).
Come as you are
It no longer matters to be with God in “some holy palace”, Christ’s death broke that old testament requirement. Through Christ, “we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the Glory of God.”18 The old testament talked of a purification before stepping into God’s presence.
The bible promises, that all of us can go to the Father through the same Holy Spirit that Christ gave us. Jesus is the only requirement to enter God’s presence. You cannot know God without knowing Jesus while also not being able to know Jesus without the Father calling you.19
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth”.20 “In spirit” is you and “truth” is honesty.
‘The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming'” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He” John 4:25 (NKJV).
An example of evidencia:
Verse:
John 2:13
Jesus walked into a temple and saw, “merchants selling cattle, sheep, and doves for sacrifices; He also saw dealers at tables exchanging foreign money. Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the temple. He drove out the sheep and cattle, scattered the money changers’ coins over the floor, and turned over their tables. Then, going over to the people who sold doves, He told them, “Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!” (NLT) You are the temple Jesus is fighting for. 1 Corinthians 3:16 declares, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (NKJV) The Holy Spirit showed me how a lot of people are hosting things they are not meant to host.
Dealing with depression, the kind that steals lives, anxiety, the kind that makes people crumble, insecurity, the kind that drives beliefs to unworthiness, loss of identity, the kind that leaves you desolate, loss of purpose or significance, the one that leaves us with too many questions, dealing with grueling fear, the kind that freezes all movement, absence of joy, peace, power, personal discipline, and sound judgment.21 What God drew in lovingkindness22 for your life and identity is being contaminated by things that steal and trade away His lovingkindness.
Nuance and intricate
Reading this for face value, I wondered, “Jesus turning over the tables and making all this mess was kind of rude”. But I remembered, Jesus never sinned23, so this must have not been what I conclude as sin. The Holy Spirit explained to me; Jesus was angry because other people and things were hosting and making their own home in what God calls precious.24 All of the animals and exchanges did not belong in the temple; in this context the temple was a place to be with God. Your mind and life aren’t supposed to be deteriorated by the variety of struggles we as a society have seen people struggle through. Everyone struggles and will, that is normal; but not to the degree that it steals your life. Christ was so bewildered at this, the Word explains His reasoning perfectly, “Passion for God’s house will consume me”, a more profound version, “Concern for God’s house will be my undoing.”25 Christ’s undoing was His death, because He has concern for you, you were His undoing.
Christ’s deepness
In other words, He loves you so much He ripped into pieces just so right now, in this present moment, you could decide to get to know Him. A lovingkindness beyond comprehension. I know my own story and the thoughts and behaviors I thought were normal to live with. But I found out I was not created to carry such weight. I have seen too many people carry unnecessary oppression. Experiences that keep them in a chokehold. Let me tell you, you were designed to breathe.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His One and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him” (NLT).
John 3:16
1.) I apologize again if someone misinterpreted love for you. 2.) When I read eternal life, I do not just see eternity, but the real definition of LIVING. I once did not know the gift of actually being alive. I woke up afraid and detached from this life, leading myself into confusion and fear; but once I met my best friend, He taught me little by little what breathing deeply was like, what seeing looked like, what hearing others felt like, He woke my heart transforming a heart of stone into a heart of flesh.26 I cannot begin to explain my joy, but instead I can invite you to experience it.
3.) If you decide to accept the love pulsing within you, you will be attacked in your mind. Yes, satan is real, but I’ll get into that in a separate blog post, it’s a biggy. However, like sin, Christ changed the dynamic. Satan will condemn you; he likes to influence your mind with all types of harm.27
His Word is life and edifying
In Christ, you have this authority28 and it’s the coolest thing to experience. My biggest recommendation is His Word29, the words you are reading on this page are founded and cemented in Scripture, satan’s afraid of it and it’s our lifeline. I call it my reason for existence, remember in the beginning I showed you how the Word is Christ. Christ is Scripture (nuanced topic), but since Christ is the Word and Christ defeated death, Christ defeated any trick played by satan. Including the one where he doesn’t want people to believe he exists because then you’ll never see the power in the Word. And the power of the Word cuts through the thickest dough.30
4.) In Jesus you are no longer judged against,31 you have the redemption of sins,32 (nuanced topic as well), I apologize if you have the idea of God being some overlord with no clue of what it’s like to be human; instead, you are now looked at as the girl or boy of His eye.33 God is for you,34 God is with you,35 God is fighting for you,36 He’s working through you.37 This is what we call, “Grace period”. What I’m discovering about that, is that it’s all a gift. And within the gift, is amazement at how it’s all beautifully designed, it’s just up to me to believe in what already is; even though I cannot see it.38

Ending words
If you wonder how someone could confidently write all of this, it is because I do not speak on my own authority. This is not me thinking, “let me see what I can conjure up”. In fact, this blog is something I actually told God, “no” on. Then for half a year did not prioritize it. I decided to begin because Jesus showed me every day, moment by moment, how much He loved me and now I hear Him all the time with the same lovingkindness for others.

Like the Holy Spirit and Jesus
Jesus explicitly says that He does not work alone, “the Son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does…I can do nothing on my own” John 5: 19 (NLT). The Holy Spirit works the same way, “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard” John 16: 13 (NLT). And I, follow, “Unlike so many, we do not peddle the Word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God” another version adds, “knowing that God is watching us” (2 Corinthians 2: 17 NIV & NLT).

The power of testimony and the power of experience.
I partake in what Jesus told Nicodemus, “…we tell you what we know and have seen, and yet you won’t believe our testimony” John 3: 11 (NLT). I and others throughout your life can preach the gospel, tell you of Christ, over and over, but without experience, it doesn’t come to life. How deteriorating for me, that not everyone will want to experience the true definition of living. To experience who Jesus truly is, not man-made ideas. I understand Christ’s concern for you because what I want nothing more is for the person reading this page to be filled with overflowing joy it runs over their cup.39 To wake up being kissed by the sun. To see love in people’s eyes and most importantly to understand how pain is exchanged for true joy. How all your tears have been kept in a jar40 and one day have all your tears cease to exist.41
My ending promise
“Every teacher of religious law who becomes a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a homeowner who brings from his storeroom new gems of truth as well as old.”42
Highlights
- I am blessed to live in a church and a home where I am taught Christianity is a relationship with Christ. I am not taught a religion. A tool that has been hurting and distorting the deity of Christ.
- This is my only goal with “evidencia” to be evidence of the intimacy with Jesus and all that pertains.
- Let me be clear, I am no one, all I am is a result of God’s love. What I write, I hope in confidence, to be what I hear the Holy Spirit reveal to me.
- It’s scary, but despite that I want Christ more. And what I have in front of me is that Jesus’s promises are pure.43 Amen.
